SCHOOL RULES

What concerns the Prat room must from now on be understood for the Ferry room.

I - MEMBERSHIP¨AND SUBSCRIPTIONS

MEMBERSHIP:
The amount of the membership, which is 22.00 euros at least by family, will have to be paid at the beginning of the school year. It allows the association to make some expenses: to buy equipments for teachers and pupils, to finance outings and working.

SUBSCRIPTIONS COURSES AND WORKSHOPS:
The subscriptions are to be paid at the beginning of the year, at the time of the registration, possibly in several times (for each month or each quarter). The commitment is understood for the whole year. Cheques can be sent by mail to the headquarters of the association, or can be given either to a member of the Executive board or to a teacher. The teachers who get the payments for memberships and subscriptions must, after having checked the description of the cheques (necessarily made out to Puzzle), forward them to the Treasurer through a member of the Executive board.
Apart from the exceptional cases examined by the Executive board and the teacher which is concerned, no refund will be allowed.

II - SESSIONS WORKING (COURSES AND WORKSHOPS)
The teachers have to inform the persons in charge for the association about the date of arrival of new pupils and about the possible departures. Therefore, each teacher will keep up to date an attendance records of his pupils and done courses, which he will forward to the Treasurer at the end of the third week of each month.
Pupils must, as far as possible, warn about their absence from any session, either directly the teacher, or a person in charge for the association. This measure is compulsory for all persons under 18.
A teacher who is unable to lecture warns his pupils directly, and have to inform as quick as possible one of the persons in charge for the association. The remedial courses will have then to be set.
A teacher who is unable to direct his workshop must inform the Executive board about it 15 days before, so that each pupil can quickly be warned of the workshop postponement by posting on the premises.
In order to manage courses and workshops with the teaching team as well as possible, the Executive board will set, at the beginning of the year, three meetings in which the teachers will have to take part: meeting for the preparation of the workshops, meeting for the preparation of the concerts, meeting for the year stock and for the preparation of the following year.

III - INSURANCE
The third-party insurance subscribed by the association covers its courses and its workshops, to the exclusion of the trips and the instruments. Therefore, the association could not be held responsible for an accident occurred during a trip. It is requested from the parents of the persons under 18 to make sure that the courses are really taking place.

IV - PREMISES AND EQUIPMENTS

PREMISES:
We are gracefully welcomed into the Prat Room and the Jules Ferry cellar (put at our disposal by the city of Sannois) for all our courses, as well as for the workshops.
It is imperative that each one shows discipline, in order to have clean premises and stored equipments. Any anomaly must be reported to a person in charge for the association. The upkeep of the rooms is supported by us and requires respect and vigilance on the part of all. It is forbidden to smoke or to eat food there.
Any exceptional change of timetable in the use of the premises must be reported to the President or the Coordinator.
Any band which wishes to rehearse apart from its hours of workshop must make the request at the Executive board, which is the only one empowered to give the proper authorization. If the latter agrees, the use of the premises will be determined in order to respect the courses and workshops timetable, and the keys will be given to a person in charge, named by the band to get them and to bring them back after the rehearsal. No band which is not affiliated to Puzzle is authorized to rehearse in the premises of the association. In the rooms where the sessions take place, the presence of any visitor, including parents of pupils, is not authorized, and it is forbidden to bring food or to smoke.

EQUIPMENTS:
Equipment owned by the association is marked in the name of the latter and is listed in an inventory held by the Executive board (this inventory must be accurate and the invoices sufficiently detailed). This inventory is forwarded to the town council and to the departmental councillor in order to get exceptional subsidies and grants. The replacement of old equipment will have to be requested at the Board of directors, even if the replacement equipment is equivalent and free. The unusable equipment will have to be stored in the premises (either for fixing, or for inventory check). Any request for purchase must be endorsed by the Executive board. Any purchase must be done by a teacher accompanied by a member of the Executive board.
The export and the return of the equipment owned by the association are authorized only at the time of the concerts of the association, and they are controlled by a person in charge named by the Board of directors. The loan as well as the use of the equipment apart from the courses and workshops hours are forbidden.
